RENT AGILENT / HP 8131A Pulse Generator (call for availability)
The Agilent / HP 8131A Pulse Generator features a 500 MHz repetition rate with variable transition times. The Agilent / HP 8131A Generator can perform parametric and function tests up to 500 MHz, because delay and width have a degree of adjustment at this speed. The Agilent / HP 8131A Generator increases your confidence in the device, because measurements can be performed at a higher speed and even at-speed measurements are feasible. The Agilent / HP 8131A Generator is a fully programmable product to offer full pulse performance flexibility up to 500 MHz which is first of its kind. Even the input trigger level can be programmed to automate your measurements. The fully programmable feature makes the Agilent / HP 8131A Generator an extremely useful instrument not only for R&D and production engineering environments, but also in incoming component inspection, and for high-speed functional test applications in production test. A new standardized programming language (HP-SL) enables programming, uploading, and downloading new parameters or complete settings for future requirements.
The Agilent 8131A Pulse Generator cleans variable edges down to less than 1ns address a wide range of technologies such as BICMOS, ECL, and ECLips, as well as opening to analog applications like rapid bandwidth assessment or amplifier slew rate measurements Cell characterization often requires two signals, clock and data. The Agilent / HP 8131A Generator with Option 020, second channel, is a convenient way of generating two different but synchronized signals. Double-pulse can be selected in one channel to simulate a clock, the other channel then appears to produce a series of binary ones and zeroes in NRZ (non-return-to-zero) format. Data rates up to 280 Mbit/s can be simulated. A timing resolution of an order of magnitude higher than typical gate-delays eliminates time-window uncertainties, making more accurate and reliable measurements possible with the Agilent HP 8131A Generator. Transition times of less than 200ps from the 10% to 90% amplitude (20% to 80% of amplitude: typical 150ps) enable repeatable and reliable timing measurements on high-speed digital circuits.
