The Elektro-Automatik PSB11500-60 Bi-directional DC power supplies offer 30kW of power in a compact 4U chassis. The unit incorporates two devices into one: a power supply (source) and an electronic load (sink) with energy recovery. The advantage of having both device types in a single unit and at the same time it eliminates the disadvantages of separate units regarding weight, space requirement, costs and effort to implement them into custom test software. The Elektro-Automatik PSB11500-60 is equipped with a flexible autoranging bi-directional power stage, which provides automatic adjustments of voltage and current outputs, limited only by the maximum rated output power. 

The most important feature of the Elektro-Automatik PSB11500-60 DC power supply is that the AC input while connected to the grid is also used as output for the recovery of the supplied DC energy during load operation, which is converted with an efficiency of up to 95.5%. The EA PSB11500-60 includes a software based function generator, which can generate typical functions and apply them to either the voltage and current. In addition to standard functions, the generator is accessible for the creation and execution of complex sets of function runs, separated in to up to 99 sequence points. There is also a galvanically isolated analog interface terminal which offers analog inputs to set voltage, current, power and resistance. Several inputs and outputs are available for controlling and monitoring the device status.
