The Anritsu 36585K calibration kits contain all of the precision components and tools required to calibrate an Anritsu Vector Network Analyzer System for a 12-term error-corrected measurement. The 36585K Precision AutoCal is specifically designed for the VectorStar Family of Vector Network Analyzers, Anritsu's Premium Line MS4640A Series VNA. The Anritsu 36585K provides the highest performance calibration, barring the use of multiple airlines for an LRL coaxial calibration. The latter is used only by metrology centers due to its tedious nature, requiring the manual insertion of center conductors and outer shells of multiple beadless air lines. However, because the AutoCal calibration method is a transfer method that is based on the LRL Calibration, it provides better corrected characteristics than any SOLT manual calibration, even if using a Sliding Load. Coupled with the fact that automatic calibrations are much faster and less error-prone than manual calibrations, the precision AutoCal becomes the preferred VNA calibration method for all applications, from R&D to Manufacturing.
