The Amplifier Research 120S4G8 is a self-contained, air-cooled, broadband, solid-state amplifier designed for applications that require instantaneous bandwidth, high gain and linearity. 

Features and Specifications of the Amplifier Research 120S4G8 include:

    • Provides a minimum of 120 watts of RF power when used with a sweep generator
    • Digital Control Panel (DCP):
      • Provides both local and remote control of the amplifier
      • Uses a graphic liquid Crystal Display:
        • Provides operational presentation of forward power and reflected power

        • Provides reports of internal amplifier status
      • Uses menu assigned softkeys
      • Uses a single rotary knob
      • Uses a dedicated on/off switch
      • Offers extensive control and status reporting capability
    • Special features:
      • Gain control
      • Internal/external automatic level control (ALC) with front panel control of the ALC threshold
      • Pulse input capability
      • RF output level protection
    • Internal RF detector which provides an output for use in self-testing or operational modes
    • All control functions and status indications are available remotely in GPIB/IEEE-488 format, RS-232 hardwire and fiber optic, USB, and Ethernet
    • Bus interface connectoron back panel
    • Keylock on front panel assures positive control of local or remote operation
