Product Overview

The Anritsu MS2028B VNA Master is the industry's highest performance, handheld solution for 2-port measurements, anytime, anywhere. It specifically addresses complex cable and antenna measurement needs in the field with accurate, vector corrected 2-port magnitude, phase, and Distance-To-Fault measurements. The Anritsu MS2028B covers a frequency band from 5 kHz to 20 GHz, which contains a wide variety of radio frequency communications systems, and also many radars and microwave communications systems, both coax and waveguide. Equally impressive, this measurement tool offers the industry's first 12-term error correction algorithm in a handheld VNA. With a typical measurement speed of 750 µsec per point, this is ideally suited for tuning application in the field. Using a 3-receiver architecture, the MS2028B can measure all 4 S-parameters at once with with a single connection to the DUT.

RF engineers and technicians in the field provide installation and maintenance support for aerospace, defense, and general purpose communication systems around the world. These might typically include radars on Navy ships, communications on Army vehicles, flight-line test on Air Force and commercial jets. They support VHF Omni-directional Range (VOR) antennas in radio navigational systems globally. This freedom enables swift and precise measurements as they phase match cables, troubleshoot critical system faults, and perform routine installation and maintenance tasks anytime, anywhere. The VNA Master features many available options which augment its diagnostic power with specialized measurement functions.

• Capability to create custom languages using Master Software Tools and download the languages into the MS2028B
• Using Master Software tools create and download signal standards, pass/fail lists, cable lists and antenna factors
• Automatically update the unit with the latest firmware
• Coordinate locations using Microsoft Mappoint and GPS location mapping
